When applying for a visit, please note the following announcements: (Currently THU is not accepting applications for group visits from companies or organization. Applications for senior or vocational high school group visits are still being accepted.)
Groups planning on visiting THU should comply with the following rules and regulations
1. Applications for campus visits must be submitted one month prior so to give THU sufficient time to arrange tour guides. No visits will be allowed in the week before exam periods, nor during exam periods.
2. Visits may be arranged only from 08:30~11:30 or 13:30~16:30.
3. To prevent traffic congestion, tour group vehicles for morning visits must exit campus grounds by 11:30, while tour group vehicles for afternoon visits must exit campus grounds by 16:30.
4. Due to limited campus parking and the needs of the volunteer student body, groups should arrive and depart within their scheduled time period. No unilateral changes to scheduled times are allowed.
5. In the case of high school tour groups, students should be divided into smaller groups by their teachers before vehicles enter campus grounds. Numbers identifying each bus should be placed on front windshields. Once on campus, the buses may not idle to allow students to find their correct group. Please pay attention to this point.
6. Once tour buses exit the highway interchange, a call should be made to the Office of Public Relations (04-23590432) to give staff sufficient time to arrive at the designated meeting spot.
7. Since tour guides are all volunteers from THU student body, if your group arrives ahead of schedule, it is recommended you visit the nearby Taichung Metropolitan Park until the scheduled time of your visit.
8. Once on school grounds, travel agencies and tour bus companies hired by the university shall cooperate with all relevant school regulations. No changes to scheduled routes or stops shall be allowed and please follow the instructions of your tour guide. Violations of this rule shall be noted and recorded.
9. Once your vehicle is parked in its designed spot, please turn off your engine. You are not allowed to drive around campus.
10. To ensure the health and safety of the university’s dairy cows, please do not drive, nor park near the THU farm.
11. No picnics, pets, or megaphones are allowed on campus.
12. When near teaching or administrative areas, please lower your voice so as not to disturb classes or on-going work.
13. Tours do not include off-campus areas, nor the purchase Tunghai Dairy items. Please look after your personal safety during the entirety of your visit.
14. In regard to the above items, THU reserves the right of final decision and to make changes at any time.
15. Teachers should fax a completed and signature application form to 04-23507803 or email it to pr@thu.edu.tw at the Office of Public Relations after which a staff member will help them complete the application procedures.

Personal Information Collection Statement

2. Categories of personal data collected: (Category C001 and C061) includes name, job title, contact phone and email address
3. Use of personal data collected: shall be used for necessary contact or communication within the university during the visitation period.
4. You may request, inquire, view, correct, supplement, or make copies of any personal information you have provided. You may request that we cease the collection, handling, or use of your personal information, or may request its deletion. To exercise the above rights, you shall be required to personally visit the Office of Public Relations (phone #: 04-23590432).
5. If the above personal information is not provided in full, THU may be unable to connect you to schedule your group visit.
