The event not only fostered cross-national friendships but also focused on supporting underprivileged communities, with part of the sponsorship funds amounting to NT$10,000 being donated to improve educational conditions in Indonesia.

The Taiwan-Indonesia Student Sports Festival, titled "2024 THUISA CUP - DARE to CHALLENGE!", took place at Tunghai University. The event featured special guests, including the Representative of the Indonesian Economic and Trade Office to Taipei, Mr. Iqbal Shoffan Shofwan, and his team, who joined in the vibrant festivities. According to Tunghai University's Director of International Relations Office, Liao Min-Hsun, the event saw a significant increase in participation compared to previous years, with nearly 300 students from 34 universities and one vocational high school across Taiwan. This year's festival expanded its scope to include e-sports, photography, and poster design competitions, providing students with more diverse platforms to showcase their talents.

Director Liao Min-Hsun emphasized that Tunghai University is currently one of the universities in Taiwan with the largest number of Indonesian students. These students excel in various departments and predominantly take courses taught in English. Indonesian students in Taiwan are very proactive, and this sports festival was initiated by the students themselves, who invited their peers from across Taiwan to join the event. Additionally, part of the event's sponsorship funds was donated to the nonprofit organization Solar Chapter to support improvements in water supply, education, and community development in remote areas of Indonesia.
