Tunghai Department of Architecture Graduates Admitted by Ivy League Harvard and MIT FLLD, IE, Physics Graduates Admitted by Berkeley, National University of Singapore

Despite record low admission rate of the Ivy League schools caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, Tunghai University Department of Architecture students are admitted to Ivy League schools such as Harvard, MIT, Columbia University and Cornell University in 2022. Meanwhile, students from Departments of Industrial Engineering, Physics and Foreign Languages, as well as from International College receive admissions from internationally renowned universities such as Berkeley, Georgia, New York, Singapore National University and Hong Kong Universities.

Students graduated from Tunghai Architecture Department have always been performing very well in pursuing for post-graduate studies. In 2021, graduates were admitted to Pennsylvania University, Pratt Institute, and Catholic University of Leuven. This year, Architecture graduates are admitted to Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Columbia University, Harvard University, and Cornell University. The Department of Architecture said that the outstanding performance of the graduates proves our teaching achievements. The Department has always emphasized on the internationalization of professional and humanistic education, and has long cooperated with international famous schools to organize design workshops. In addition, it also provides many overseas exchange and internship opportunities to extend the internationalization of teaching.

Aside from the Department of Architecture, graduates from other departments also perform well. Some prominent graduate schools accepting Tunghai graduates this year are: New York University (USA), Nanyang Technological University (Singapore), Michigan University (USA), Reeds University (UK), Lund University (Sweden), Copenhagen Business School (Denmark), National University of Singapore, Hong Kong University, etc.

Tunghai University President Guo-En Chang said that despite the raging epidemic caused by COVID-19 in recent years, we have seen Tunghai University graduates repeatedly achieve good results in terms of further studies or employment. In this changing generation, it is necessary to have professional knowledge and the ability to adapt, to be proactive, and to deepen international mobility, in order to grasp the pulse of the world and to turn crisis into opportunities.
