Tunghai University announced today (Mar. 4th) that to attract excellent students, many departments are offering generous scholarships. The International Trade Department is offering NT$10,000 for each subject reaching an excellent score and NT$50,000 for each subject achieving an advanced score, with a maximum of NT$200,000 per student to encourage outstanding students to enroll. Department Director Hsieh Chun-Kuei of the International Business Department noted that with the rise of artificial intelligence and sustainable development, global industry structures will inevitably undergo significant changes, and the world will increasingly need interdisciplinary talents with international mobility. Therefore, the International Business Department provides a comprehensive range of scholarships to support students' development, focusing on "International Business and Marketing" and "International Trade and Finance" as two major professional areas. Through course competitions, domestic and international internships, international exchange programs, and specialized financial classes, they aim to comprehensively enhance the international mobility and interdisciplinary integration capabilities of young students.
Director Hsieh Chun-Kuei further emphasized that Taiwanese enterprises, which are closely linked to global technological development, require not only electrical and information technology talents but also professionals in international business operations and sustainable supply chain management, project management, international marketing management, international human resources management, international financial management, global industry trends, and competitive analysis. Tunghai’s International Business Department has cultivated numerous distinguished alumni, many of whom work in the technology sector or serve in financial institutions both domestically and internationally. Notable alumni include Lin Qiu-Tan, Vice President and Chief Supply Chain Officer at Pegatron, Deng Jin-Tai, Vice President of Strategic Development at ASUS AIoT Business Group, and Chen Zhi-An, Managing Director at Singapore Bank, all of whom serve as exemplary figures for current students.
