The Luce Chapel at Tunghai University, standing for over six decades, has been transformed into a cultural and creative product. It features on the first Kinmen Kaoliang liquor bottle to display the beautiful chapel, aiming to attract alumni and public interest, and encouraging donations to Tunghai University through the collection of this limited-edition liquor.

To promote fundraising efforts for Tunghai University's development, the Tunghai University National Alumni Association has partnered with Kinmen Kaoliang Liquor Inc. to launch the first Tunghai University Luce Chapel Commemorative Liquor. This commemorative liquor is exclusively available to donors. Wu Xi-Ming, President of the Alumni Association and also President of the World Peace Association, has been dedicated to public welfare for many years. His collaboration with Kinmen Kaoliang aims to secure more resources for their alma mater.

Wu Xi-Ming stated that the decision to launch the Luce Chapel Commemorative Liquor was made after thorough consideration and approval by the board of directors and supervisors. They drew inspiration from commemorative liquors of the Presidential Office, NTU, and NTNU centennials, and analyzed how other institutions like Cheng Kung University and Kaohsiung Senior High School promoted commemorative liquor sales to benefit their schools. Wu noted that although many universities and even military and police units have launched commemorative liquors, Tunghai University hesitated due to concerns about being a Christian university and the potential misunderstandings and discussions that could arise from producing commemorative liquor. However, given that the New Testament records Jesus Christ's first miracle as turning water into wine to satisfy the people, they decided to use an abstract representation of the iconic Luce Chapel on the bottle, along with the 69th anniversary golden dragon emblem for the Year of the Dragon. They hope this will attract attention from alumni and the public, encouraging donations to Tunghai University and the collection of this limited-edition liquor.

Vice Chairman of the Alumni Association, Ye Shi-Zong, a graduate of the Architecture Department, mentioned that he has always pondered how to assist his alma mater. Beyond donations, developing cultural and creative products with the school's imagery is a necessary path for asset revitalization. After discussions with Secretary-General Wu Xin-Rong, they decided to take advantage of the Year of the Dragon and commissioned experts to design a unique dragon emblem. They also invited experts to illustrate the Luce Chapel using black ink to outline the chapel and splashes of gold to highlight it. The back of the bottle features the calligraphy of Pastor Chow Lien-Hwa, spelling out the Alumni Association's name in red on a white background, showcasing the liquor's cultural and artistic appeal.

Ye Shi-Zong noted that although Tunghai has nearly 150,000 alumni, the first edition of the limited-release Luce Chapel Kinmen Kaoliang Commemorative Liquor comprises only 200 bottles. It is not restricted to alumni; anyone donating over NT$10,000 to the Alumni Association will receive a bottle, and those donating NT$100,000 will receive 11 bottles. They hope for widespread support, with all donation proceeds going towards strengthening academic and infrastructural development at Tunghai University, as well as alumni services.
