The winners shine bright! The 13th Second Member Representative Meeting and the 14th Exemplary Alumni Recognition Ceremony of the Tunghai University Alumni Association gathered over a hundred alumni from across the country. The exemplary alumni awardees stood out, including Feng Mei-Yu, President of Taipei City University of Science and Technology, and Chen Yong-Fa, Chairman and General Manager of Savior Lifetec Corporation (SLC), among others, who were honored with the exemplary alumni distinction.

The 13th Second Member Representative Meeting and the 14th Exemplary Alumni Recognition Ceremony of the Tunghai University Alumni Association, honored ten outstanding alumni after extensive recommendations and evaluations. 

On the 27th, the Tunghai University Alumni Association held its 13th Second Member Representative Meeting and the 14th Exemplary Alumni Recognition Ceremony. After recommendations and evaluations from various sectors, ten alumni emerged as exemplary figures. These included Liao Kuang-Ming (Class of '17, Chemical Engineering), Supervisor of the TPCA Environmental Foundation; Chen Yong-Fa (Class of '21, Chemistry), Chairman and General Manager of SLC; Syun Lian-Si (Class of '26, Business Management), Chairman of Austin Life Enterprise Corporation; Yen Ming-Zhen (Class of '28, Food Science), Production Manager and R&D Director at Lucky Royal Co., Ltd.; Xu Yu-Cheng (Class of '28, Business Management), Chairman and General Manager of Gemfont Group Corporation; Tsai Hong-Yi (Class of '29, Business Management), General Manager of Car View Technology Co., Ltd.; Lin Qiu-Tan (Class of '31, International Trade), Vice President and Chief Logistics Officer at Pegatron Corporation; Feng Mei-Yu (Class of '35, Political Science), President of Taipei City University of Science and Technology; Wu Shu-Yuan (Class of '40, Landscape Architecture), Design Director at Motif Planning & Design Consultants Co., Ltd.; and Wang Fung-Kun (Class of '53, Hospitality Management), Adjunct Lecturer at the National Quenmoy University Department of Tourism Management.

President Chang Kuo-En stated that since its establishment in 1955, Tunghai University alumni have made significant contributions across various fields. In addition to the selection of exemplary alumni, past outstanding alumni include former Vice Chairman of Citibank USA Chia Pei-Yuan, current President of the Legislative Yuan You Si-Kun, Vice President Tsai Chi-Chang, Control Yuan member Fan Sun-Lu, Taichung Deputy Mayor Wang Yu-Min, Changhua County Mayor Wang Hui-Mei, President of Sonoma State University Ming-Tung Lee, Linking Publishing Company President Linden Lin, and 14 members of the Academia Sinica including Lin Nan and Yu Kuan-Ren. President Chang encouraged alumni worldwide to return to their alma mater and share their successful experiences in various fields. This not only strengthens the connection between alumni and current students but also prepares the university to face future challenges with the support and active participation of its alumni.

Wu Xi-Ming, President of the Tunghai University Alumni Association, emphasized that the ten award-winning alumni this year stood out due to their remarkable backgrounds and achievements. The purpose of this event is not only to highlight the achievements of outstanding alumni but also to inspire current students by showcasing these exemplary figures as role models. Wu also noted that Tunghai University has nearly 150,000 alumni. Recently, the National Alumni Association, in collaboration with Kinmen Kaoliang Liquor Corporation, launched the first Tunghai University Luce Memorial Wine to support the university’s academic and infrastructural development and alumni services. Future donations from this initiative will help the university and the Alumni Association acquire more resources, promote the development of the university, and support various activities of the Alumni Association.
